Gold Star Healthcare was founded with one mission: to help physicians, healthcare providers, investors, and medical office owners make smarter real estate decisions through specialized industry expertise and a relationship-first approach.

After more than 25 years on the inpatient clinical side working as a registered nurse, Liz Cook transitioned into healthcare real estate with a clear purpose: to help physicians, healthcare providers, owners, and investors make better real estate decisions in a sector where operations and environment directly affect outcomes. Her clinical background gives her a practical understanding of patient flow, staff workflow, privacy, care delivery, and the functional demands that make medical real estate different from traditional office product.

Throughout her career, Liz has worked alongside physicians, health systems, developers, investors, and property owners across Florida — representing both landlords and healthcare providers in medical office leasing, third-party leasing assignments, ground-up medical office developments, hospital and health system expansion initiatives, physician practice relocations and expansions, medical office investment sales, and strategic site selection and development consulting.

Before launching Gold Star Healthcare, Liz served as Vice President of Brokerage and Physician Liaison at Flagship Healthcare Properties, where she specialized exclusively in healthcare real estate throughout Florida. In 2026 alone, she completed more than $45 million in transaction volume within the Tampa Bay market.
